Simpson Academy Seniors and Eighth Grade graduating classes enjoyed an exquisite four course lunch at the Grand Lux Cafe.
Simpson Academy students performed at this year's talent show. Our ladies showed us they know how to rap, dance, recite their own poetry, sing, and more!
The I AM art exhibit held on March 21st was a huge success! This exhibit featured art from students around the city. We are proud of Ms. Tang and all of our students who participated in creating a beautiful piece of artwork. Check out some photos below of this amazing event!
Thanks to Mr. Chris Courtney for hosting an engaging hip hop workshop with our Humanities classes! Chris began as a break dancer in 1998. He later joined the national hip-hop company Culture Shock Chicago. He has shared the stage with Ludacris, Kayne West, Cam'ron, Busta Rhymes, Chicago Dance Crash, Stick and Move, LIFE, Fivestar Boogie, and Common. His teaching credits include Columbia College, Beverly Arts Center, Old Town School of Folk Music, Grant Elementary School, Crunch Fitness Chicago, Hubbard Street Dance, Chicago Cultural Center and Danza Viva. Thanks a ton, Chris, for sharing your talents and spirit with us!
